Abstract
The legal regulation of higher education by Federal law “On education in Russian Federation” is analyzed in this paper. The author made a comparison of provisions of above-mentioned act with Russian laws in the sphere of higher education which were in force before 1st of September 2013. The key changes that have taken place in Russian higher education are also highlighted in this research.
